Group Therapy Training Program
Information for the Group Therapy Training Program in English
Certification in Group Psychotherapy Program by the American Group Psychotherapy Association, AGPA
The program is to be utilized by the standards of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, AGPA.
It is appropriate by mental health professionals with interest or experience in group psychotherapy as therapists (psychiatrists, psychologists) or other mental health care professions like mental health counselors, mental health care nurses, social workers, pastoral counselors etc.
The program includes:
- 12 hours of theoretical introduction in group psychotherapy using the official corpus of AGPA
- Bibliography in pdf format in group psychotherapy
- 75 hours of personal and/or group supervision in group therapy
Furthermore for the certification process in order to be a CGP-Certified Group Psychotherapist, you will need to complete a total of 300 hours of experience in therapy groups as a therapist or co-therapist.
Supervision in group psychotherapy
The necessary supervision hours are 75 hours.
The supervision process includes group therapy marketing, group member selection, group synthesis etc.
The supervision can be utilized by using skype sessions.
